The man behind the beard

Hello, my name is Kobus Pretorius and welcome to my website. I am the creative mind behind Red Beard Productions.

After school I completed a National Diploma in journalism at CPUT and worked in the industry for various publications.

While photography was always a hobby of mine, somewhere along the way I developed an interest and passion for videography and started Red Beard Productions as a side hustle back in 2014.

A friend's wedding that December was the first one I ever filmed and the rest is pretty much history.

I went full-time in 2017 and added photography to my services. I love both mediums equally.

I am married to my beautiful wife Mignon and together we like to cook food, host people in our house and go for romantic walks after dinner.

We hope to do a multi-day hike someday and dream of Bali as our next holiday destination.

I love the Springboks, I support Manchester United and I love to braai and experiment in the kitchen.

I love to play squash and would like to take up fishing as a hobby. Thanks for reading :)
